calling any one from missouri

Could you hook me up with the olive egger? We would love that. I think I cant wait any longer.

My girls are not laying but I bought some olive egger eggs from a lady in Columbia. I can hook you up with her information if you are wanting some of those.
Could you give the info for the olive eggers? I cant wait any longer.

should we start a list of breeds that are ideal or close to ideal for the weather here?
Shoot!

My Ameraucanas and Brahmas seem to do the best at tolerating the extreme heat and cold. My Phoenix get frost bitten combs without supplemental heat. I just aquired d'Anvers last fall, so far they are doing well.

I have an Easter egger, Columbian wyandotte, and a gold laced wyandotte. They all have short or smallish combs. They did fine when it got into the single digits without extra heat.

I have to agree, my EE/Ameraucanas & my Black Australorp had the least amount of trouble with the cold & high winds this winter. The other breeds I have are Rhode Island Reds, Black sex-link, Iowa Blues(they didn't seem to have any trouble either), white leghorns & Black Penedesencas. We'll see how they all like the Sl. Louis heat this summer. Last summer I didn't have the Iowa Blues or the white leghorns. Last summer the Black Penedesencas & the EE's did the best, if my memory is correct. (and there are no guarantees on my memory!)
