In the Brooder
Seligman, Missouri here! This morning, I did a head count. Today, I have 23 laying hens (a wide variety of barnyard girls, 2 Dominiquers, a Silky, and a rooster of the barnyard variety, 5 White Pekins, 1 Rouen, an African male goose, and a beautiful Domestic Hen. Plus. Reggie The Dog, and Supper The Hog (sow, getting ready for the butcher). It is never a bad day to find a layer, especially the loud variety. I'm a sucker for the loud ones. In closing, can anyone explain why people say "no" to the eggs I offer? I'm not the only person who has exoperienced what I would call a strange phenomemon. People really are the strangest humans, you know.
I'm in Powell, not too far away. Idk why anyone wouldn't take your eggs unless they have family with commercial laying houses, there are a lot in the area and I know that I get more free eggs than I can count from family with commercial houses
