In the Brooder
Seligman, Missouri here! This morning, I did a head count. Today, I have 23 laying hens (a wide variety of barnyard girls, 2 Dominiquers, a Silky, and a rooster of the barnyard variety, 5 White Pekins, 1 Rouen, an African male goose, and a beautiful Domestic Hen. Plus. Reggie The Dog, and Supper The Hog (sow, getting ready for the butcher). It is never a bad day to find a layer, especially the loud variety. I'm a sucker for the loud ones. In closing, can anyone explain why people say "no" to the eggs I offer? I'm not the only person who has exoperienced what I would call a strange phenomemon. People really are the strangest humans, you know.
