Maybe they just don't like your neighbor.

And you have to shoot the starlings and house sparrows off of it and keep their nests out so they don't take it over.
If there are already sparrows or starlings living in it when the martins arrive they won't always stay.
Once they've moved in they did a pretty good job of keeping them out theirselves.

Joe is honesty about the most likable guy you’d ever meet... even the guys from the county like him, even though he tears into them every time the road gets rough, lol

sounds like a bunch of towny birds... we’re too remote to get those kinda birds here... maybe the martins are just snobs too, lol

The new cat is here ... I tried to teach her to use the lawn mower, but she didn’t seem to see the point

i think she was rolling her eyes at me... she and my wife are gonna get along great, lol

nope! She’s already shed half a cat on me... so she’ll have to be a porch cat.

she’s gonna bunk in the garage for now until she decides this is home ( she was already re-homed to someone else once ... and trekked 6 miles back to my sisters house)... I’ll probably make her a cat door into the garage so she can murder mice outdoors as she pleases and rest in the garage between bouts of meyhem

I like his stripes but one cat is more cats than I’m comfortable with... but my no cats policy was recently voted out, lol
