Storms coming. This is the 9th anniversary of Joplin's tornado, the worst in US history. All of us in SW MO are on edge.....

Keeping a weather eye on you, SueT. Hoping it is "just" t'storms for you, nothing serious. ❤ I am in SE MO. Scattered storms for us today, supposedly.

I imagine many near there are on edge. A friend of mine said her family had panicked attacks for several years afterward at the sound of tornado sirens. I remember that day well, we were at church and took cover in the basement after hearing about the Joplin tornado, at the time we only knew it had produced a big tornado and the same storm was headed our way. Praying for you all.

I think the worst of it went south of us. OK, AR, and extreme sw mo counties......
We aren't out of the rain yet (1 1/2" so far) but the strong part of the front looks to be east of us, moving east.

I was so happy yesterday the yard was finally drying out.
That was short lived.

Our river is back Took us 4 hours of shoveling our gravel back into buckets and hiking it back up the to our driveway last week after the torrential rain. Didn't know Missouri had a monsoon season!

Well, I live directly on the other side of the Mississippi. We want to move to Missouri, our family already works there, and I will be going to school there

The sun came out, it got up above 80º, and I was able to mow the lawn. Part of it. It's really hard to keep up with mowing with all this rain! I divide it in sections and when I'm done, it's time to start again.

I'm not having any luck trying to get the utes to sleep on the roost bar at night. I put them up there a couple of times yesterday evening but they all ended up in the pile on the floor. Anyone have any ideas what I might try?
