calling any one from missouri

I still find myself looking for her when I am letting the dogs out or feeding them and that sort of thing.

I know how that feels, a few years ago we were in Alaska and when we got home the lady keeping Cocoa had been trying to call my wife and she finally got through after we had landed in St. Louis and were driving home to tell us that she had died. After that I never wanted another dog and still don't want one because Cocoa was so special to me.

Sad to hear about the dogs....even if one was years ago.
On a happy note, today is Day 21 for my broody Violetta! Well, we don’t know yet if it will be happy or not. I gave her 2 eggs only. And I think one may have quit. Hopefully she will have at least one 🐣. I keep going out there and listening carefully, but I’m not going to disturb her to take a look. I locked everyone else out of that coop so she’ll be undisturbed.

Had a guy come out the week before to give us an estimate on building basement stairs for us. He said he would get back to me with his estimate. Haven't heard from him yet.

Building stairs is pretty easy after you get done crying about how much the lumber cost you. The 3 stringers would be 2x12x16 or 14 at $90 each and for the treads you would need 7 2x6x12 boards at $30 each for 3' wide treads. So you're looking at $500 just for materials. I have a book I can lend you if you want to build them yourself.

Here is a stair calculator.
