Calling in the experts....hatching emercency!!

im really new to all this, havevnt even put my first hatch in thr 'bator yet! so forgive me for sounding a rookie...but i keep hearing people refer to 'lockdown' on here...can someone be kind enough to explain what that is??? thanks!!!
