OOOOHHHHH I want to make a chicken treat farm too!
Did you start with meal worms from the store (I know our local pet / farm / hardware store sells them) or did you get them from your yard?

Yup! If they are still alive...take them out of the fridge because the fridge kinda puts them in a hibernation mode. Put them on some crushed up oats or wheat bran..or even chicken feed. Feed them a carrot or potato slice.. Then soon you will see them turn into the pupae. Its a little white thing. YOu seperate the pupae from the worms because they'll eat the pupae. YOu dont have to feed the pupae or anything. Then eventually..in a couple of weeks maybe, the pupa will turn into a darkling beetle. They they'll lay a zillion eggs and start to die off (thats the best part..IMO..) then in a while you will see a million teeny...tiny mealie babies wriggling around! and the cycle continues..
