CALLING MISS PRISSY AGAIN!!~~New goose question page 5

I would think if it has a seperate tray for hatching it wouldn't be a problem. But wait till miss P checks back in and see what she says!

Now that is an incubator of a different color. You should be fine.

I always caution on the severe side with the table top styrofoam bators.

I wish she lived in my town!! I would just take my eggs and let her hatch them!

I read threw this and these are the questions I have left:

When misting, exactly what do you do? actualy spray on the egg?
or just squirt it a couple times above the eggs?

and also, after recieving shipped geese eggs how long do you
let them set?, and do you turn them like chicken eggs to keep the
embryo from sticking?.

These are exspensive Sebbies, and I'd like a good hatch, LOL doesnt
everyone?

You directly spray the egg, at least that's how I did it. And yes you do have to turn the eggs during incubation. I would let the eggs sit for 24 hours, big end up, to let them 'settle' before setting them in the bator. Even with that, the air sac will probably be on the top of the egg (meaning whichever side is 'up') Good luck!!! I have heard shipped goose eggs are hard to hatch, and sebbies are hard to hatch to start with!

Not sure what you mean by turning them, but you let them sit without moving them when you first get them, then turn them after you set them, like any other ol' egg!

I have several questions....my seb. geese just started laying and this is my first time with them or with any geese but have hatched chickens and ducks in the bators... 1. do I leave the eggs in the nest for the geese to hatch or 2.. do I get some for me to try to hatch and leave them hatch some... 3. how many do they usually lay in a nest. 4. there was a duck egg in the nest also, do I leave it there with the geese eggs.
