Calling on Dog Experts - Guess the breed [IMG HEAVY]

Our Kobi has them too. His mother was definitely a chocolate lab, dad unknown, but my guess is Doberman, at least part. He has at least three spots on his tongue. When we first got him (rescue) numerous people tried to tell us he was part chow because of his tongue. There is nothing chow chow about this long lean black dog!

Keep us posted about your pup!

I post pictures from an online photo album. There's two sites that I know of:

http://www.webshots.com/
http://photobucket.com/

Both require you to join, but it's free. All you do is upload your pictures from your file/CD onto there... copy the "direct link" click on the Img but under the BYC post thread and past it in the box that appears.

I hope that helps/makes sense... I would love to see your dog.

I have a friend who said she will help me tommorrow. She owns an internet cafe and I will have to go there. I have been working on getting these pics uploaded for about 1 1/2 hours now and am ready to give up.

check out the dog on the bottom right. It is a mastiff, beagle, italian greyhound mix. But I though the roundness of the dogs head looked similar to your dog.

This is from the Feb 08 people best and worst of 2007 mag.

there is one dog that is a saint bernard, shih tzu, lab mix!!!!!

very weird!

Tiger's father is Purebred German Shepherd x Purebred Golden Retriever, Tiger's mother is purebred Vizsla--just wanted to show these pics

Sorry so many, it took me about 6 hours to get these pics up here-now that I know how to do it !!!!! I noticed the stripe/worry lines in between eyes to forehead on Sabina right away-- which Tiger also has(that is a vizsla characteristic), and I also noticed the (puffy cheek) thing in pic 5, they both have the little ruf around neck from the german shepherd type, their legs and body types seem similar. Tiger's tail was docked but her sister's wasn't and her's is long and skinny. Tiger's ears have a lot more drop ear genetics than Sabina's.
It really seems you can tell a lot by personality types of breeds. They are very loving and all of God's creatures.
Good Luck,
Kris

Thank you! I'm so happy you were able to post pictures; Tiger seems like a very fun, friendly, and outgoing dog. She's sure a beauty! See, when we were searching around we thought about Vizsla, but I don't think they are so common, at least not around here, but then again, I shouldn't go around with that belief because unusual breeds have a way of popping up. I do see the similarities between Tiger and Sabina that you pointed out, so then again, you never know (well...I do hope to find out soon - lol).

Some also mentioned that Sabina looks like she may have some Basenji (again. not so common...but whatever) in her. The only thing I am certain about is she's at least half German Shepherd... due to a water-resistant coat and webbed toes, I imagine she's a mix of some sort of hunting/sporting breed...I'm guessing the shortness of the coat could come from Vizsla, Basenj, or Box blood... maybe something else...?

Aqain thank you; I appreciate it very much. I promise I will keep you all updated, with any neighborhood news and/or test results.
