Turns out I'm a monster, Shaw. I had no issue stealing 7 babies from my screaming hen. 4 DIS --- didn't externally pip and ran out of air.
The baby pile grows.

do you ever get plain white or plain black. as mush as the mixes will be loved I'd love to have a few of those too.

I have not. I am thinking true black (called penny black) is hard to find in calls. White I'm just not a big fan of so I haven't tried to acquire any.

She bites so hard she actually brings blood! She grabs your skin and twists.

Is she just doing it since Brooding or any time you come to get eggs? We have some hens that are pretty adamant about being disturbed while laying/setting they also do the bite twist thing. some just peck a couple will actually try to peck the egg. Like if I can't have it nobody can kinda thing. ornery Girls. Never have a problem with the boys
