This is the most tolerant broody I have ever had.
She doesn't hiss or huff at me at all.
Not even when I picked one up.
I hope that does not mean she won't protect them from the other dux.

She ended up with just the five.
One was almost out and died for whatever reason. The rest of the eggs had been gone for a while they were getting smelly.

Dusky grey I believe.
In most of her pictures her speculum just looks black or dark..
But in the sun actually has that iridescent beetle green color.
They don't look like much in pictures but they are so beautiful in person out in the daylight.

When I got home from the feed store getting supplies for them today..
One of the ducklings was OUTSIDE of the palace!
I figured out real quick where it had to have came out at it was trying to go back in through the crack in the door.
Holy smokes I didn't realize there was such a gap there now. Part of the time it swells and you can barely even open or shut the door.
DeWalt and I had to fix that problem.
Tiny call ducks and get through the damdest spaces.
