Calls & Humidity

Okay so here are the air cells. I think their a little small. Before I take action I just want to make sure you all agree. The chart I'm comparing it to is that of a normal duck egg so maybe it's fine and the size is throwing me off? Anyway here are the pics and the chart. All of them are very active. It's day 10 by the way.

Day ten, duck eggs, it looks pretty close to me. I'd say they look good so far.

Day 15. Personally I think the air cells are a little small but before I take action I figured I'd ask the experts!

I don't think they look too bad from the pics. But if you think so, you have a couple choices... A fine misting, once a day. Humidity will jump up briefly, but will settle back down. Or you could do a one-time wipe down of the eggs, with a damp sponge or towel. Remove a little of the bloom. I wiped mine around day 13 and misted 3 or 4 times and it helped a bunch.

I don't think they look bad either. Slightly smaller than graph, but that's a guide. I'd drop a little on the humidity, but I wouldn't go crazy or be overly concerned.

If I mist them once they go into lock down to prevent shrink wrapping would that be okay? Or should I start a little sooner.

Okay thank you so much! I'll drop it a percent or two. It's so nice to be able to get everyone's opinion as well, it's truly helpful! Especially with this being my first incubator hatch and all.

Actually, you don't want to mist during the final 5 days. Misting has the opposite effect of what you would think logically. Getting the egg slightly damp actually helps to draw more moisture out as it dries. Maybe it is loosening the bloom and helping to open pores, but however it does it, it works.

Oh wow okay thank you for the heads up! That is an interesting concept, but hey if it works it works
