Cameo Genetics

I see someone locally advertising some Cameo hens.
If I crossed my BS male (split to nothing) to the cameo hens what would I get?
If I crossed the new blue pied male to the cameo hens what would I get?

I know the picture is bad but are these cameos or BS hens?

Blue BS male X cameo hens =all blue chicks male split bs and cameo, female split bs(females can't be split to cameo)

Blue pied male X camep hens= all blue chicks males split cameo and pied/ whites , females blue split pied/white.

What i see in the pic look like white hens, unless the color doesn't show in the pic. cameo do fade in the sun.

If I took the "blue chicks male split bs and cameo" and crossed them back to the cameo hen would that give me BS cameo?

If I took the "blue chicks males split cameo and pied" and crossed it back to the cameo hen would that give cameo and pied cameos?

They do look pretty white. I am not sure if it's the photo or the guy is wrong about what he has. I haven't called yet I am trying to decide it I want them before I waste his time

if you use cameo hens that are split yes. but just back to a cameo hen .....no pieds or BS

Cameo can fade to amost white, but should be color in some part of the bird.

So in the second generation I would get 50% males and females cameo and 50% Blues in both crosses.

I would have to take one of the cameo males and then breed it to a BS female and in that second generation I might get black shoulder cameos? Or Pied if I did that cross instead?

I can see I am going to have to study up more on genetics if I want to do this...and build a lot more pens!

Picture is pretty odd.. perhaps the "cameo hens" are BS cameo, they look like dirt stained whites, especially after sun fading.

Ask him for another picture of the hens.. don't forget the picture rule, which includes asking for another pic if it's really bad like this one.. if he intends to sell those two as cameo hens. Also if he does have cameos for real, ask if he has blue sons out of cameos.. those would be IB split cameo and would be valuable for getting male cameo chicks.
