I would agree that that is a cockerel, for multiple reasons [darker coloration in the wings, start of pointy hackles and saddle feathers, large and red comb at that age.] sorry

That is what I was afraid of. I would love to keep him as he is a pretty cool bird, but not legal here.
I'm taking him to the poultry swap in my City this upcoming weekend. Hopefully I can find a taker.
