Can’t get over this duck story!

Could the one he’s picking on be a drake? Any of them starting to make anything besides peeping? That is a precious picture.

That was my thought, too. They are still just peeping. They will be 3 weeks old tomorrow. I’ve tried to look at their vents but they just squirm too much for me to actually try to sex them.
They are all pretty much the same size and all eating and drinking really good. But for some reason he is singling out this one. Poor thing has a couple bare patches on its back.

Any way you could separate that one and another so they can all still see each other but the drake can’t pick in the little one. Oh okay I was thinking they were older. Might begin to hear some voices changing soon females start first.

Yes I might have to do something like that. He was away from them all night and day until I cleaned the brooder out a little while ago and then let him back in with them. So far no screaming! If only his duck brain could understand that when he picks on the little one he gets taken away from them!

Ok so I had a look at the little khaki ducklings vent, and I'm pretty sure its a female. Obviously the runner (Mr. Mom) is a male. Khaki's are 3 weeks old today, runner is 16 weeks old today. Is it possible he is trying to mate?

I think you're right! I am going to take him out to the coop today! I will put the turkeys somewhere else.. They are ready to harvest anyway, just waiting for a break in the weather.
