Ok, this poor girl is back in my house again! I treated each and every chicken in the coop, scraped the coop clean & cleaned it. Put the powdered stuff all through the coop. I made sure each chicken was done thoroughly, it took me awhile so I know I got them good. Funny thing is, is that I have 8-9 White Silkies in the coop. Not a single one had a bug on them, just this ONE Silkie pullet??? I treated after 10 days....again checked each one, never saw a bug on them. The girl I had in the house seemed to be doing fine. She gained her weight back & was looking good...didn't see anything on her so I took her back outside. About a week ago I noticed she was starting to look thin again so I brought her back in the house. Not many mites/lice (reddish brown fast lil buggers), just around her vent a little. So I bathed her & treated her. She was doing good, then today her eyes were crusted shut!!! I wiped them off and their were bugs all over her head & face. I couldn't believe it! Nowhere else on her body at all except her head/face & vent area. They come so fast & I can't get rid of them. In the same room as far away as possible, I have some chicks....I sure hope they don't get them just by being in the same room. Not sure what to do. I'm getting very frustrated! What can I put around her eyes to help? I cleaned them up but they are swelled and don't look to good. I heard Vit E oil, or vaseline but I'd think her feathers, food & shavings would stick to it?
