I have a 14 week old hen that I have since she was a week old. She was the sweetest, friendliest of the bunch. She always comes on my lap to cuddle as soon as I sit down with them in the run. Since a few days, she has started to bite me. She stills comes up to me when I sit down and lays there, but as soon as I go to pet her, she bites me. She used to love being pet and handled. I don't know what happened, and it's making me pretty sad because she was the only one who was that friendly. The others are sweet too but they don't like being handled that much, though they don't bite me like she does.

What can explain such a change in behavior? Has anything similar ever happened to you?

Did anyone give advice on this problem? This just happened to us. Our chickens were so sweet and now 2 of them are charging and pecking at us.

Normally,they do,Puberty,and broodiness,kinda get my saying?
My hens tend to growl, showing whose boos.

My hens behavior changed but that lasted a few weeks. She started being super sweet again once she started laying :)
How old are your chickens? hopefully they can go back to being sweet like mine did.

I'm not sure if this helped her behavior change or if the pecking order has anything to do with this, but when she would bite us, we would hold her in our arms against us to show her who was boss and we would put her back down once she was calm.
