Can a Kestrel Cause Harm to FUll Grown Chickens?

Very old thread, but wanfed to post this and didnt think it deserved a thread of its own. Cheaky chap watching my birds this morning. But I have mice in my back yard ( its the country, I always have mice) stealing my pellets. Hopefully he will be back regularly.

I don't know, everyone here says their ok but I saw a very small and fast little bird attack my BANTAM EE chickens today, it didn't get them (probably because I ran over to scare it off ) but it cut 2 of my chickens beaks and pulled feathers out of another. Anybody know what I could do about it? Or what kind of bird it was? It was as small if not smaller than my bantams and it seemed like it's color was grey and it was very fast.

Hey, those steeenkin nasty kestrels steal grasshoppers and mice straight outta the mouths of yer darlin chickies. Blast em to heck!!

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

The resident host verus gallus gallus, you just have to avoid the technophobia creatures. They are prowlers, I mean yeah I am into innovation. I think it is a major weakness if we can't trust nature at least sometimes in regards to our progress. Yet at the same time, if a Kestral gets tired of grasshoppers then what can you do. Hey the grasshoppers are a super conductor, I know.

Pour some Kestral on me. In the name of love.

Get some of these. They don't take no mess.
