Can an egg be “dead” and still have veins? Is the chick alive? (pic attached)

Newbie to hatching eggs. On Sunday around 5pm I gave some fertile eggs to my broody hen. Tuesday afternoon I checked and one of the eggs had dropped out of her nest and was on the ground and cold, presumably overnight. I put it back under her but assumed it wouldn’t develop since it was cold. I candled today (Friday) and I can see veins! Is this chick alive and developing or could the veins be from before the egg was dropped?

It looks good to me! Definitely still alive.
