Can anybody help me identify what is wrong with this hen?

Discovered my hen like this today. I haven't been able to identify the cause. Does anybody recognize this issue?

Welcome to BYC. That is a prolapsed vent or cloaca. Get some calcium with vitamin d and give her a tablet around 300 mg orally. Put some vaseline or other mild oil or honey on the red tissue inside and out and try to push it back inside. It may come back out, but just try to push it back in. It can take several days to stay in due to swelling. There could be an egg stuck, but it might not be that. Keep the red tissue from drying out. Keep her separated from others because they will peck and injure her vent. Let us know if ahe is able to poop or not. She might need to have her vent area soaked once a day in warm water to help it heal and to keep it clean. Here is some reading :
