Can anyone help with a dog with a possible food allergy?

Ohh, I did think about this. I was planning on making a mixture ahead of time and freezing it in the 1-1/3 cup qualities. If that quantity sound strong to you please tell me and I will change it. I have never don this before so I need all the help I can get! Ohh, and with two crows recipe, will I need to brush his teeth?
Yes, as this is homemade cooked food and not raw. Also there are no raw bones included in the diet which would be important for healthy teeth.

I don't trust how meat is handled these days, so I prefer to cook his meats, but cooking does cause some loss of nutrients. I wouldn't imagine enough to make a huge difference, but I am not an expert though. :D

As a heads up, my sister has two dogs who have really bad food allergies. The only thing she feeds that doesn't give a reaction are certain FROMM brand dog foods - they're a limited ingredient whole foods diet. I think the one she feeds has 10 ingredients?

I feed Taste of the Wild as it's (relatively) cheap and my oldest seems to have an issue with grains - the more grains we give the mushier the stools except for rice when she's sick.

As for the grain free heart failure study - that came about when a few vets reported cases of it so the FDA called for vets across the whole country to report new cases of it and basic dog info with it. The only correlation outside of breed was diet. Now I'm not saying there's not a link, but I am saying that when the FDA asked vets to report cases of it the total associated deaths in a year were about 100. Across the whole country. Even if there was a link, I consider that an acceptable risk, personally.

Thank you everyone! I just ordered the book, and am gonna start using @TwoCrows recipe of raw feeding, unless I find a better recipe in the book, or from another user! Thanks so much, I certainly hope the helps!
I would do a lot more research first before just diving into anything. That recipe works for her but it may not work for you or even be the best thing. I would continue to look into the various raw options out there as well as the various kibbles and any treats and environmental factors. This is not something that should just be done impulsively. Listen to the advice and suggestions people are giving and then use that to continue your own research. Do not just jump into something. I do not mean this to be mean at all but you seem to be jumping around a lot whenever anybody suggests anything. Oh I’m going to try this no wait I’m going to try yours instead, etc. You do not have to agree with everybody or try everything. Just continue to research and then do what is best for your dog, which may not necessarily be what people have suggested.

I think I am gonna cook it, I feel like it will travel better and store better if we take it on trips!
