I bought 5 Royal Palm turkeys but 2 of them are larger and looking buff instead of white and black. Do I have Royal Palms or something else?

The brown and white ones look like they could be immature or poorly colored Bourbon Red turkeys, or Jersey Buff (not a recognized variety) turkeys.

Thank you! Jersey Buff seems to match their coloring the most. They are young but I think you're correct. Thanks so much!

As faint as they are at this time, you can't rule out red palm, especially if the breeder specialized in palms. As they get darker, the color will be more apparent. My best guess on what I see there is Bourbon Red.

They look like the Bourbon red I got from Frank this year, when she was a bit younger, her colors are much darker, now! I read somewhere that the buff was used in breeding the Bourbon Reds and then lost popularity to the more preferred Bourbon Red Breed. I think the article was published by the American livestock Breeders Conservatory and was quite interesting, if anyone cares to look it up?http://albc-usa.org/cpl/buff.html

They certainly could be! I guess time will tell, thank you! :)
