can anyone tell the diff from a polish hen to a rooster

Pics
Thanks for the response - I was thinking the same thing myself, but with no combs or wattles I wasn't sure.

Give them some more time though until you know for sure.
Polish sure can be deceptive when it comes to sexing! I have been caught out a few times with them.

That's good to know. We got 9 straight run chicks this year, hoping for 4-5 hens. Usually I get sexed chicks, but the breeds we wanted to try only came straight run. It's kind of agonizing waiting to see who's who, because we're attached to them all. I'm Googling every day, trying to guess for sure! We have three Polish, three Cochin bantam, a Cochin frizzle bantam, a Silkie and a little Easter Egger bantam.

Same here I glad I'm not the only one in the same situation lol

Hey guys! I don't really have a decent picture at the moment, however I do have 2 polish chickens that I'm trying to figure out the sexes of. I'm pretty positive I got lucky and have 1 hen and 1 roo but I just want to make sure. They're about 2 months old and it's 1 White Crested Blue, and 1 Golden Laced. Now, I'm going off how they interact with the rest of the flock and their mannerisms, not to mention my WCB has a nice globular/swept back crest (Almost like she's gotten her hair done) and my golden's hair is literally just a ball of feathers that kinda goes everywhere and makes it a bit hard to see his face unless ya pull it back. (I've literally asked if he wanted a pony tail holder or a beret before).

Hello! I am brand new to BYC but have been following different threads for a while! I am looking to add a polish hen to my flock and found a great farm that has 2 available. They are straight run, so I would have to sex them to my best ability..so I would really appreciate anyones help!!! I'll post pictures of the 2 cuties I was sent below. These are in high demand and I would hate to see them go :( Thank you in advance!!!
