I have living proof in my backyard of that. He'll try at first, might not succeed, but he'll keep trying and eventually he'll spread those genes.

Yes. I have an OEGB who is about 1/4 the size(being kind)
of my BO roo. He will not let the BO breed the hens. If he
hears the girls, he comes running, stomps his feet, makes
some noise and the big guy is gone.

I wouldn't believe
it given the size difference.

yup, I have an egg from a bantam hen that was pipped earlier this evening. She shares her affections with my LF Light Brahma roo - even though I have plenty of other bantam boys running about that are more her size. She won't have anything to do with them. I don't know about the other end of the spectrum, the bantam boys don't dare approach the big guy's gals.
