Can Button and Coturnix live together??

Hello!!

Just a quick question: I have 1 Female Coturnix quail who lives by herself right now. She seems really lonely.

My question is : Could button quail live with her to keep her company??

Yes they can be friends. There was someone a little while ago concerned about their Coturnix quail whose best friend was a little Button. Just introduce them in neutral territory or house them side by side for awhile so they can get to know each other.

I don't house mine together due to worries over bullying and fighting, but I did hold them side-by-side before and the only issue was the dominant wild-type male trying to mate with the poor tiny quail, I was afraid he was gonna squish her!

The fawn, who is less dominant, was super docile and sweet though, and the button female seemed fairly relaxed around him.

Yes! We have one coturnix female with our buttons and she is so sweet with them. All of the buttons snuggle up under the coturnix to sleep. Even the zebra finches sometimes join! Our coturnix femle is very calm and easy going. The chicks climb all over her.

Here's my button quails snuggling with my male diamond dove, he likes to climb over them and snuggle into the middle of the huddle when it gets chilly.
