Can chickens eat celery?

I have 2 bunch of celery I am cleaning. Can I give my chickens pieces I plan to discard?

You can. They will eat it and just about anything else. Not sure if it would have much nutritional value but it won't hurt them

Mine won't eat it raw but will if it's been cooked and softened.

I chop it up in small (1/4") pieces so strings won't cause a problem.
Agrees, not much nutrition.....mostly water.

Yes, Chickens can eat clearly for sure along with its leaves, stalk but only in a moderate amount. Celery is a good source of essential nutrients including vitamin K, vitamin A, and other important antioxidants for the chickens. However, it also contains a high amount of calcium in it that's why you should serve them occasionally.

Chickens will pretty much eat anything and are very good at avoiding most dangerous natural foods. Instinct works it seems.

Pretty much all water though but then again if the hens need protein they will head for the pellets and not fill up on the low protein food.
