Can chickens eat corn on the cob?

We’re gonna start grilling some corn on the cob and was wondering if the flock can have a raw cob?

As far as I know yes we feed our chickens corn on the cob all the time never had a problem!

Yep but remember it's basically candy to a chicken. Try to keep it somewhat limited. But yeah we feed it to ours when we grill, they love it.

We give our flock of 5 hens & 1 rooster raw corn cobs in season, broken in thirds for easy distribution. They love them! The husks we have stripped and toss into their ‘composting pile’, attracting bugs that then can dig for at will. They ‘free range’ in a very large fenced in area all day.

Yup, I rarely get corn on the cob but when I do, the stripped cobs always go to the chickens. They love pecking out the remnants of the kernels and the cobs will very slowly break down in the run.

I give mine corn on the cob and they clean it. I don’t give it often but when I do they all get excited and run as fast as they can!

Definitely! They'll peck it clean! I sometimes freeze ours (eaten or uneaten) and give it to them as a little cool treat.

Mine also enjoy the corn silk, and as others mentioned, the stripped cobs and husks break down in the run to make great compost.
