Can chickens eat corn syrup?

Quick question. Can chickens eat corn syrup? I mean not straight but I came across this recipe for a birdseed wreath and I wanted to make some in blocks for our diet cages but it has 3/4 of a cup of corn syrup to about 4 cups of birdseed and some other ingredients so I was just wondering if it’s okay.

I would just use an approved flock block diet

It's fine....most flock blocks are bound, in part, with molasses....which it sounds like is being substituted with the corn syrup

That could work as molasses is often used for wry neck in the natural route

Keep in mind, the flock block is being used as a treat so ingredients that arent appropriate as a primary diet are not as much if a concern....the limited amount of the ingredient each bird will consume is not a big concern
