I have a silkie rooster that didn't have a mate for over a year. I finally gave him one of my americauna girls and they where happy till I was going to get a pure americauna roo so I took her out and put her in with the rest of her breed. Turbo, the silkie, was pulling his feathers out. And he was

When I discovered that the Americauna had no transportation here and wasn't going to arrive I put Turbo in the coop with all the girls. He's a happy camper now. He didn't know which one to flirt with first. It was so funny.

Hopefully my little roo is jus depressed and misses his girls to love on lol. I'm gonna try breaking the silkie more of her broodiness tomorrow and kick her out of the nesting area.

Dawwwwwwwwww! I have a couple of girls that are total BFFs and can't imagine one of them going broody and leave the other. My luck they'll both go broody on me.

He looks so sweet! I need to stop wearing regular clothes in the pen...

Well I gave him my my 6 three month olds today and he just went right back to bed sleeping by the broody... I don't even think he came out of the coop today, I had to bring him out.

My new AC unit in my coop quit.

If I had to be out in 111 degrees with only a fan and some cool water... I'd be depressed.
