can chickens over eat sunflower seeds?

So it's okay to feed BOSS in the shells or do they need to be just the seed with no shell?

With shells on works as well as in your wild bird feeder. Sunflower seeds and cracked corn I just toss a handful or two (depending on size of flock) on the ground for them. Well that's what I do with all treats from sunflower to refridgerator leftovers- toss it on the ground.

Thank you! I've been tossing BOSS to them daily to help with molting, they don't look too bad but there are feathers EVERYWHERE ;P Man they gobbled those seeds up right now!

I have a HUGE bag but the seeds are in their shells/hulls. Is that ok?

I give them handful sunflower

seeds treats during cold weather ( 0-20*F). Great for birds feather, in moderation.
