Can Diatomaceous Earth for Lice cause Sore Throat???

DE won't solve the problem of lice.
I know you used to be able to buy both Sevin dust and permethrin up there. If I remember correctly you can't buy either at your farm store right now but the vet should be able to give you permethrin for a reasonable price.
Throw the DE in the trash ASAP.
DE can harm the throat.
We looked into Sevin dust and permethrin. Can't get them, not even from the vet, and this is a very on the country that treats livestock. TSC for Sevin but only in spray form for the garden. Not sure how to use that on chickens.

What about topical flea medicine for dogs?
For that I also have to get from the vet, duedto dosages, but then I have to take the chickens to them and get charged for the consult (everything is super regulated here). I might as well get new chickens for the price of that! I am not so worried about dealing with the lice as I didn't see any surviving critters and my neighbor just gave me some cattle dust he has had for a while which he says works for chickens as well (he's a chicken farmer). I can use that for subsequent treatment in a few days. I'm more concerned about the health of my roo and if DE could have caused him to lose his voice or of in dealing with a respiratory infection.

I use this stuff on my birds with mite problems-

We got it for our dogs a while ago, kills small bugs almost instantly. I am not sure if peppermint is alright to use around birds but I have never ran into a problem while treating them.

Thank you. Where did you purchase it?
