Can ducks have bread if ONLY given sometimes as a treat?

No, bread has benefit for humans. White bread doesn't have much in it for us, but wheat bread is definitely nutritious. We're omnivores with a very varied diet, we can digest a lot more than ducks can and take full advantage of it. There's a reason bread existed for so long as a staple food and not just as a treat, after all. Among other things, humans need carbs and sugars to function properly. Don't believe those diet sites that tell you to eat no carbs and no sugars- that's incredibly unhealthy.
Oh, and another misconception- wheat is not bad for the average person. If you have celiac, an autoimmune disease where your body attacks itself in the presence of gluten, or have a wheat allergy, you should not eat wheat. If you do not have a medical condition like that, wheat is fine for you. Many modern breads are greatly sweetened, which isn't the best thing, but the problem isn't the bread in that case. Some people will tell you that gluten is bad for autistic people, and that's not quite right, either. If an autistic person has celiac, then eating gluten can make their sensory overload issues and emotional processing issues worse. If an autistic person does not have celiac, eating gluten is fine.

Bread is food. It's just not great for ducks because their systems aren't equipped to process the things in bread and they can't get any considerable nutrients out of it. We can.
