Can ducks have bread if ONLY given sometimes as a treat?

Lettuce is also something you shouldn't give them too much. And like said before; moderation.

I allways immagine their stomach to be as big as my thumb ( my thumb is small, 4 cm, 1,5 inch). And in one day they only get óne thumb of foods 'probably not so healthy' in not óne food. So they can have lettuce, bread, and other not so healthy things; but never more then my 1 thumb in only 1 thing. Half of my thumb in lettuce, half of my thumb in bread is fine.

But I rather give them some safe healthy snack and make my stale bread in toast or French toast or croutons or bread-crums for breading stuff, then give it to them. And offcourse mouldy bread is out of the question.

I'm a bit 'better safe then sorry' person.
But on the other hand.. one cigarette/ice-cone/BigMac/alcholic beverage/etc. once in a while will not directly kill you. But keep in mind that they have smaller stomachs. The problems with some products as bread is that it can expand in the stomach when the stomach is full of it. So be sure to give other foods next to the bread. Mix it with some other stuff and serve it in water (where it already expanded).

My duckling so far has gotten

doritos
Taco meat
root beer
gummy candy
Crackers
Bread
muffins
Birthday cake.

Her favorite is Barbeque chips.

Iam very interested if ducks taste or if its just texture they like. My intense scientific study tells me she can taste a difference in potato chips with the same texture.

Anyway point it the treats are such a small intake for her itll never hurt her

Uhh, well, their stomachs are larger than the size of your thumb.... And I mean this in the nicest way possible; where / how did you come to that conclusion? And is there any other sources backing that statement up?
