Can ducks make use of a wooded swamp?? Thoughts, concerns, and experience needed!

Good thing it’s up north. In the swamps down here you have to worry about Nutria in addition to other predators.

I had never heard about nutria, but I looked it up...those are some interesting critters! Totally glad it's up north. In all the years I've been going up there (I currently live in MO) I have never seen any water-loving predators (like mink and such...). I wonder if they are just too small of a swamp area for those critters to bother with. Or maybe they are just really good at hiding! :rolleyes:

How about alligators? in Florida swamps we have them.
Ya know, some friend we have up there actually found a gator. It gets too cold for them to survive usually around there, but pet alligators are legal in michigan...so anytime you hear of one, that is usually where they came from. Crazy people should not release their alligators. Talk about irresponsible pet ownership! What did they think that little cute baby would grow into? Lol...mini rant for the day. I'm done, I swear!
