Can eggs hatch in turning tray

Hiya, i've had a quick scan to see if i can find this question already but i figured it would be easier to ask, I had all my incubating chicks hatch over last weekend, my sister in law got some eggs which should have been hatching the following week (now) all temps fine etc however when i went round yesterday shes left them in the turning tray (its no longer turning!) however they should be hatching by now, if not hatched completely, is leaving them in the tray preventing them? they are coturnix quail

an egg in a turning tray would probably still pip, but it wouldn't be able to get out

I've had quail hatch on a turning tray and their usually fine as long as the tray is on the ground. But I would get them out of their turning tray asap

They can end up hurting themselves on the tray

Yeah take the tray out they really do get in some weird spots if its left in.
