This roo (possibly Brewster the Rooster, but not decided for sure yet) is truly about twice the size of most of my hens, although he's probably "right sized" for my two larger Black Australorp hens. The funny thing is they both challenged him right away, but he held his ground and "won." (One girl, though, seemed like she wanted to keep trying to "win," and did give it a couple more attempts, but he wouldn't back down. Good boy!)
I'm going to watch how he does with them, but plan to fashion a saddle for 10 of my 11 girls (there's only 1 who has never lost her back feathers...I think she might be alpha to the others).
