Can I add Vitamins & Electrolytes?

Thanks for the info. I will see if my local vet has the sulfa drugs first. She has a program with the local University where they are trying to gather more experience with fowl.

And I am aware that it is probably contagious. I have had a handful of others that have had this as well. But she is by far the most severe case.

She eats wet crumbles, eggs, oatmeal, yogurt... she has gained 1.3 lbs in about 6 weeks.

I will keep you posted. Thanks so much for your reply. I appreciate it.
Well it's good that she is gaining some weight.
Good idea speaking with your vet again, hopefully she can perform some testing to find out what this is for sure. Your chick must be miserable.
Keep us posted.

UPDATE: She has been on Uniprim for 1 and 1/2 weeks. I thought she was improving. The gunk in her eyes and mouth seemed to be loosening up. But today, one eye was super red and swollen. It's an ongoing battle. Don't want to give up on her but I want to be realistic as well.

I'm sorry that she is still not better.
Have you been able to remove the pus from her eyes?

I do agree with you, at some point if she is not getting better you have to consider her quality of life.

I get pus and whitish chunks out of her eyes and mouth almost daily. But some of the substance is stuck inside of her eyes, like in her sinus cavities. Don't know if it will ever loosen. Unfortunately .

:hugs You've been hanging in there with her.
Is there anyway you can have any testing done?

I had Agnes put down. Test came back as MG. She developed an abscess in her sinus cavity that became a chronic infection.
