Can I borrow your incubator?- Oregon

RIR are known to be a bit flighty at times. These are pertty laid back.

My thoughts on animals of any kind being jumpy, flighty or nervous is that
they take on the manner of whoever is around. Your calm, they are calm.

If your SO\\BF is stressed out then your going to be stressed out and in
turn the RIR will be stressed out, as will the rest of youi animals.

So if you want to rethink this its fine with me...

lemurchaser - If they have them than I would be more than happy to include them in the order.

I am trying to start between 10 - 15 Cornish Cross every 4 weeks or so. If it is fesable and I can at least break even on them. If my brooder was larger then I would start 20 at a time. But I just don't have the room.

Thinking about trying my own breeding stock next year, but we will see. I need to do some more research first.

As for the eggs I am not sure where I can purchase Cornish cross eggs.

But I'll take a look around.

John -
He's not stressed around animals at all, in fact he is usually better than I am.

I am thinking it was probably a roo that he had problems with when he was younger. But I don't know.

But your thought are very true. I see it with all of my other animals (cows, sheep, horses) all of the time.

How about we do this since there is a week until this get togeather and I see who else can offer what and if I find nothing then I'll get the RIRs and say poo on you to the BF.

See how "Just one hatch" grows! Kemps Koop on e-bay has GQF Hovabato 1602N 's starting at $43.00. It takes about 10 days to receive, for me anyway, but I think they are in your area so you might get it sooner. I just looked and they have over 100 other choices and the prices seem reasonable to me. Not as cheap as borrowing plus you'd miss all the action behind the A&W...

P.S. The eggs I was going to toss today - well they pipped between 6 & 9:00am and now I can hear peeping three rooms away!! It's day 23!

Stop! Don't buy from Kemps!!!!!!! I bought from them and it took almost a month to get my bator-they do not ship from Oregon, they drop ship. They have the worst customer service (non-existent) and I had to file a my first ever Paypal claim against them.

Wow! guess I got lucky...

How much do you love coffee? my cousin opened a roasting house in NC. www.muddydogcoffee.com my favorite is Costa Rica Las Lajas Organic.

Another friend has a roasting house in Medicine Hat, Alberta http://www.creeksidecoffee.ca/

Yeah well I ordered a hova 1588 which are really popular right now, but still! There were multiple people who had trouble with them.
I was a coffee arista for many years-I love it, but haven't drank as much of it since I had my dd. Those look like some nice spots, with good coffee!

OK.. so fill me in... I'm really naive (aka dumb) about some stuff. what is dd, dh, etc. My imagination is going wild. I think dh has something to do with "husbands" but it could be Devoted, Dumb, or something really bad like the initials for my ex!

dd= dear daughter dh= dear husband... or dumb husband in some cases.. and devoted in some...
theres a post about it somewhere lol u guys are to funy.. i live like a mile from lazy 54 farm... lol.. i got 10 bo pullets from them a while back.. great birds

Yeah, yeah. I know, I said one hatch, now I'm in it for 2, but in all fairness only one batch is for me, the first is a trial run. Oh, who am I kidding, by this time next year I'll have 3 incubators, and will have to move in order to be able to get more chickens.
