You Go Girl!! You start with chickens for eggs then goats for milk then sheep for wool then you need a spinning wheel to spin the wool, and a carding maching to card the wool then a loom to weave the wool. Pretty soon you end up like my cousin who has 800 acres, 200 cows etc, etc, etc,... it never ends for farm girls like us. I did get my Uncle to get the sheep though so he just gives me the wool every spring. The rest of the stuff I really do have even though I don't know how to use them very well, except the loom, its still in pieces needing put together. Right now I'm watching eggs.

BTW the ones I was going to toss today because it is day 23 and I thought they were gonners, 2 hatched! 2 more left, will see what happens with them.

TheirotherMother: That's great about the surprise baby's. What breed(s) were you hatching? Have you posted pics?

I'm going to have a ton of questions when I get started with hatching.

oh! btw. i have an LG that i have pretty much never used.. and i dont want it anymore... still in the box.. i have a diffrent incubator that i made myself. so if you cant fit the hatches in one bator.. or if you wanna run both to see difrences or sonething one for incubating one for hatching... idk if u want it u can have it.. if u dont want it than anyone else?

They are dark with dark beaks and feet. When they completly dry and fluff up I might know more. One could be a Black Australorp or a Black Japanese because it hatched from a brown egg. The other hatched from a blue egg but is all dark. And who's to say they are purebreds? Suprise, Suprise!

As for the pic's I'm trying to take pic's with my cell phone but it won't let me send them to my email. says memory too full. I keep trying to delete stuff but it still dosen't work. I'll have to get one of the kids to fix it.

Still have 6 duck eggs left. Hopefully will have a good hatch with them.

ts a still air. no turner.. but its bran new.. there are a few marking from a sharpie on it to show where 100* is, other that that i ...dont know.. ummmm.. actually. my heart just sank. ummm i think i was messing with the wafer in it and i might need to put it back together. sry, i totaly forgot. if i put it back in right and it works u can tooootally havi it. i dont want it. so its free.

Don't worry everyone else. The deals are still on, I'm excited about hatching some chicks for John, and doing a trial run to get the hang of the bator.

lemurchaser- when you get bored of it...maybe I could take a shot at it, and borrow it from you for a tad. I know that would be so fun for the boys....I'd need a bigger coop though...so no time soon. Unless you will need a bigger coop too, and want to sell your current one!!! hahahha!! Don't you love this forum...good things come out of it for sure.

oh, and I just posted new pictures on my blog of the pullets I got from you...check them out...they are beautiful chickens!!! I love them.

well! lets seee.. hmmm. im im woodburn. the 30th is a friday so id have school. who all is going to be there? if someone is in salem than i might be able to go to salem if i can .. and give it to somebody who is going. OR if coffee(lives close to me) hasnt gone to see johns goats yet i can give it to her tomorow possibly and then if she goes to see the goats before the 30th than she can give it to john and john can give it to you when you guys go meet behind a&w.... lol

.. try putting that in the story.. LOL! if not i can figure something out!
