Can I eat the eggs of chickens with tapeworms?

I recently found out through cleaning the chicken coop that my chickens have tapeworms. I will be treating them. I know you're not supposed to eat the eggs while they're on medication, but am I able to eat the before they go on meds? Do tapeworms end up in eggs?

They're usually transmitted through poop, but yes, tapeworms can end up in eggs. Yuck!
