can i encourage quail to go broody?

I have had a few act broody even collecting multiple eggs, but they usually give up sitting within the first day or so.....it’s kinda like their brain goes “ooooh look, something shiny!” especially when it’s treat time

It happens sometimes, usually in a well landscaped aviary. New World quail (Bob's, Blues, Gambels, Valley) tend to go broody more so than Old World quail (Coturnix).

Here's some pics of my Bobwhite's nests that went broody. Unfortunately, two days later these clutches were eaten by a snake(s).

Yes, I have a large planted (well, less planted as much as I keep transplanting hardy weeds in and then they pick them to death) area, and I've seen broody behavior - I got excited, but they give up after a short time. I also go in after an eggsong, and I'll see a hen sitting on an egg that isn't hers!

God bless them, sometimes they aren't the brightest creatures! But they do make a quail nest in my planted area, at least.
