Can I feed my Chickens chicken?

Yes! Positive, you can. Three days is not that long for most animals. I wouldn't eat it. BUT.... the chickens or the dog or the... you get the idea.

My girls love to stand around the BBQ when the sauce hits the chicken. They love it hot off the grill. I know, I know, that it is just not right, but they love it so.

I've read (in passing) that they can get a sort of chicken version of Mad Cow Disease (spungiform encephalitis) from eating chicken, especially on regular basis. Is this actually a crock then?

That's a bunch of crock. Cows can get mad cow disease from eating the brain and spinal tissue of infected cows. Since I don't know anyone that eats chicken brains and neural/spinal tissue, there wouldn't be leftovers of that sort for the chickens in the first place.

My big girls had leftover hot wings today. It's their favorite.

3 day old leftovers are fine. Even chicken. Mine love it. Mine also love pizza, steak, pasta, and just about any vegetable.

I don't follow the "if you won't eat it, don't feed it to them." I won't eat it if it's getting dry or I just got tired of eating it after several meals or I didn't like it to start with. If the leftovers are smelling bad, or are moldy or spoiled, don't feed it.

Something unique to mammals then. is it? That was my understanding, until I read about it somewhere--I was trying to remember where I read about this in the first place, but I can't right now...

But I suppose you can't believe everything you read...
