Hello friends! It has been so excruciatingly hot here, and I feel sorry for my girls for having to be out in that heat! Is it ok if I put an ice cube in their waterer to keep their water cold? Or would that upset them to drink really cold water when they're hot? How about if I lay some cubes around in their coop and see if they'll lay on them or something? I just don't want my chicks to have heat strokes. My sweet runt is still doing the red face thing. I hardly ever see her face pale.

Ice is a great way to hydrate your flock! The cool water helps them get through the heat. I’ve been doing this over the summer and our chickens love it! I hope this answers your question and good luck.
