I have an older roo and 5 upcoming 7 week old most likely roos that I would like to put with the older roo. The 5 are currently being raised by their mother hen and they have been around the outside of the coop where the other roo is, as babies, but not free ranging together. The older roo is currently with 3 hens, but I plan to move the hens to my other coop. When do you think I can integrate the roosters together? The babies are already establishing their pecking order, but what will happen with all of them and the older rooster? Any thoughts would be appreciated.I have 2 bachelor roo coops. They are roos that grew up together so they squabble a little but not anything serious. There is a head roo in each coop who seems to keep the others in line.
What breeds?? How do you keep the peace?I have had over 30 roosters all in the same pen with around 40 hens.![]()
