Can I house Quail with Pheasants??

Hi! I was wondering if anyone could tell me if I could possibly house Bobwhite Quail with Ringneck Pheasants? I have 2 Quail hens & several youngsters that I don't know what sex they are yet, and 2 Pheasant hens and 1 roo. The run the Pheasants are in is approx. 16'wide x 20'long x 10'tall-all inclosed with wire of course. I would like to be able to put the Quail in the run as well, but don't want anyone to get hurt. I also have Coturnix Quail and was wondering if they might be able to go in with the Pheasants as well. Any info you may have would be appreciated.

If your run/pen is that big section smaller areas of it off for your individual speces. A quick game bird math leson....

Pheasants+ coturnix= bad mojo your coturnix will be nice lil whippin dogs for your pheasants cocks and hens. lets just say the term masacre comes close here but not quite accurate

pheasants + bob whites= really bad mojo! tho bobs stand a much better chance than coturnix, and hen bobs with young--- thats bad attitude x 10 so i give it 50- 50 as to who is the agressors and who is the victim. No matter which way the verdict falls the outcome will be undesireable

pheasants x bobs / coturnix== end o the world type stuff here--- the likely winner is your coturnix because they'll be over in the corner cluelessly laying eggs watching the bobs and pheasants go it like WWIII.

From your post it sounds as if you have plenty of room--- just partician off 2 small areas for your quail speces. you may need a visual barrier as well to keep the peace, but thats easily accomplished with a lil plywood or even plastic that they cant see thru.

The bonus here--- they're all gamebirds! so no nasty illnesses

I have raised quail and pheasant for afew years, and different breeds . the rule of thumb is ,pheasants on the ground ,quail or partridges on wire. the reason being,quail and partridge are more prone to diseases, so keeping them on wire helps prevent this.
