I have Runners and Cayugas and my Runners do not handle the cold as well as my Cayugas. They Cayugas are out and on the run, my drake is digging in the snow (silly, I don't know what he's hoping to find!) while my Runners pull their legs up under them or will walk a few steps then lay down on their feet.
I have only had them since April so I don't know if it's because winter came so suddenly this year or not. I was planning on get a few more runners (a fawn and a blue at least) but after seeing how the 2 I have handled the cold I don't think I'm going to. Maybe after next winter when I see if this was just because of it being their first winter or that it was warm one day and freezing the next.
