I just thought I would update everybody on how Jake and Bella are doing. **WONDERFUL**.... they have fit in nicely here with all of my critters and children. My kids just love them to pieces. They are very much a part of our family. Oh and guess what....no more cages have been put back over there near that house either..WOOHOO!!

Any ideas on what bred you think Bella and Jake are? I was told by the vet that Bella is a Choc. Lab x Weim.?

I think it's a good chance both are choc lab mixes. Jake almost certainly. Based on her color (is she as gray as she looks in that picture?) I would have guessed pure Weimaraner. Why did the vet think Lab/Weim mix for her?

Bella is a Weimeraner. The new guy looks like a German Shorthair Pointer or what you get when you cross a GSP with a Weim. We've had both breeds and the cross. Good for you for saving that poor guy from the trap. I probably would have taken the whole cage home

The brown dog is a GSP x Weim. The breeds are so similar- it's like crossing an Orp with an Australorp. The white girl was our english lab.

I agree that they both look like they have some Weimeraner in them. They are beautiful and you are AWESOME for rescuing him from the trap.

What may I ask is the point in using a HUMANE trap if you are going to STARVE the creature to death?

If you want to kill then just get a gun and be done with it, it would be kinder for the trapped one than no water/food for days.

People who do that to pets are THROWN IN JAIL, FINED, ETC. They are not trusted to care for them!

And humans have the audacity to say that DOGS are the animals.
