I have one chick who hatched about an hour ago. Its peeping a lot! Its about 1/3 dry and he is walking all over the bator knocking the eggs over. Two other eggs have pipped, but I can't see inside yet.

Can I take him out?

Thanks!

Temptation has been resisted.... chick remains in incubator....

You'll be glad you did......the one who is out is encouraging someone to come out and play! If you took him out, he'd really be peeping cuz he'd be lonely!

Aww! Okay, I shall keep him in for a while then. I don't want a lonely chick... I will set up their brooder while I wait!

I've managed to keep away from the bator all day so far. Three chicks have hatched.

Except there seems to be something a bit off with the third. Its feet don't seem to be doing their job. The toes are still bunched up and he isn't using them. Its only been about 1-2 hours since he hatched though... maybe he just needs time.

This chick pipped towards the center of the egg and had a lot of "egg stuff" trailing behind him and he has some weird veiny blob attached somewhere in the rear. :S

The other two chicks are doing fine.

Give him some time...ususally those weird little blobs, attachments, residues etc. straighten themselves out before the chicks fluff up.
