Can I use Corid and deworm?

Hi all! I am in need of some advise! I got 4 chickens about a month ago (all egg layers). I had one pass suddenly and unexpectedly. Yesterday I came home to one of them very lethargic and she kept tucking herself in a corner with her head down. I brought her inside and started her on force fed corid. By night she was eating and drinking (no more force feeding ) but I was able to visibly see large worms in her poo. I am hesitant to stop the corid after such a great turn around but I know she needs to be wormed. Can I use both at the same time?

In a case like that, yes, you should deworm them, but not by adding Piperazine (Wazine) to waterers. If you've done 5-7 days of Corid (treatment dose is 2 tsp for 9.6% liquid, and 1 to 1.5 tsp for 20% powder), that should be good enough. Use Safe-guard suspension orally at 1 ml/cc each day for 3 days, or use Valbazen suspension at .5 ml/cc once and then again in 10 days. Just feed it to each bird with a 1 ml syringe without a needle. Follow up with poultry vitamins-probiotics 3 days after.

Thanks!! She has had such a turn around she is back in the coop with all the other ladies for a group worming!! (UGH) I have another pen set up to swap them to but it was intended for a new group of chicks we had coming.. any way to treat the ground my chickens are on now so they dont need to be moved?

Fremont Michigan.. Just bought a 10 acre hobby farm. So far 4 kids, 4 goats, 3 chickens, and a hound dog we are trying to get more chickens but I am getting nervous about purchasing private though. We have had quite a few issues from the chickens we bought. Seems to feel like I am buying others problems. I think we are just going to buy a bunch of chicks and start ourselves

Okay another question.. My chicken is doing much better (more energetic than ever) but hasn't started laying again. I know I have to throw out all the eggs but any ideas after being sick like that how long to wait for some production to come back?

I to am having the same problem I have put corid in the water but can I also use Fenbendazole for worming?
